Provisional License

You must have a signed provisional license- (call 07855445561 if you need application forms).Please bring the photo and paper parts of the license to your first lesson.

Eyesight

You must be able to read a number plate from a distance of 20.5 mts (67ft- about 5 car lengths). The new style number plates- 04 / 54 etc must be readable from 20mtrs (66ft).

If you need to wear contacts or glasses to do this you must wear them at all times whilst driving.

Highway Code

Obtain a copy and have a good read before we start. The highway code is also available on-line highwaycode.co.uk. Lessons will predominatley cover the pratical aspect of driving, however if you find the theory test a struggle your instructor will help. 

 Lesson Times

Consider the best time for your lessons, remember you may respond better at diffrent times of day, particularly for your first lessons. Weekend and evening lessons are very popular- it may take you a while to gain a place at these peak times.

Could you fit a lesson in during the day? Lessons before work or college prove ideal, as the usual lifts or bus journeys can be cancelled and you can drive yourself !!

Alcohol

If you appear to be unfit we will not conduct the lesson and you will be charged for the time. Alcohol or drugs will seriously affect your judgement and abilities. Drinking late at night before a morning lesson, or drinking in the afternoon before an evening lesson must be avoided.

Footwear / Clothing

Make sure you have a comfortable pair of shoes / trainers. Avoid wearing anything that may restrict the use of controls. (please avoid glitter- it takes ages to hoover up!!)
